Making the decision to quit smoking and then standing by that decision can be an exceedingly difficult thing to do for people who are addicted to nicotine. Zyban is a prescription medication that can help the people quit smoking without the use of nicotine.
Zyban works by slowly building into a persons system, during this time a person may continue to smoke. At some point after using Zyban for a week or more a person must stop smoking completely. As they keep taking Zyban it will assist in curbing the urge to smoke and the withdrawal affects associated with giving up nicotine. For people who need additional help Zyban may be used in conjunction with the patch.
